Fr. Isaac Morales, O.P. was born and raised in the northern suburbs of Chicago. He has a BSE in civil engineering from Duke University, an MTS from Notre Dame, and a PhD in New Testament, also from Duke. From 2007-2011 he taught as a layman in the theology department at Marquette University. In 2012 he joined the Order of Preachers (aka, the Dominicans) and was ordained to the priesthood in May, 2018. He has taught at Providence since August of the same year. An amateur Lewis scholar, Fr. Isaac regularly teaches a course on the life and writings of C.S. Lewis.
Travis Lacy was born in Oklahoma City, and he’s been enchanted by the writings of C.S. Lewis since before graduating high school. He holds a BA in English Literature from Hillsdale College, an MTS from Duke, and a PhD in Systematic Theology from Notre Dame. He and his wife, Shannon, were received into the Catholic Church at the 2015 Easter Vigil. They have five children: Edith, John Henry, Drew, Miriam, and Martin (John Henry’s middle name is “Lewis,” in honor of Jack himself). Dr. Lacy’s research and scholarly interests lie in ecclesiology, philosophical theology, 20th century Catholic thought, and the Medieval era. He also continues to read, teach, and think about Lewis as much as he can.
